THE COMPUTER SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
The Computer Science department came into being in the year 2000 under the school of science at Ijagun campus with three lectures, headed by Rev. Femi Fatade. The subject combinations++ that was introduced was Computer/Mathematics, Computer/Chemistry, and later on in the year 2002 they include Computer/Physics, Computer/Biology, Computer/Economics.
The college was later upgraded to Tai Solarin University Of Education in 2005 by then OGD led adminstration and both the college and the university were at Ijagun campus using the same place, but later, the college was separated from the university and was relocated to his own place at Omu-Ijebu, in October, 2008 where Computer Science Department also moved too.
In 2018, the department of Computer Science was among the pioneer under the headship of Dr. O.A. Arowolo. In 2023, the name of Institution was changed by His Excellency Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun (Mfr) to Sikiru Adetona College Of Education, Science and Technology, Omu-Ajose. Till date both programms run in the department are fully accredited by the Institution Regulatory Bodies (NCCE and NUC) under the leadership of our amiable and energetic Provost, Dr. Adeola Lukmon Kiadese in the year 2023.
